Higher rates: Aurora approves electricity supply contract

AURORA – In a special meeting, City Council approved a 100 percent “green energy,” Illinois-sourced electricity supply contract Tuesday. Aldermen voted 10-0 Tuesday afternoon to approve a two-year supply contract with Homefield Energy, a subsidiary of Texas-based Dynegy, formerly owned by Ameren.
